There's another effective way to drive organic traffic from Google, without relying on social media at all: guest posting, also known as guest blogging.

What Is Guest Blogging?

Guest blogging is exactly what it sounds like: writing and publishing a blog post on someone else's website, as a guest contributor.

Example: say you run a finance blog. If you reach out to other finance-focused websites and write a post for them — as a guest — that's guest blogging.

Why Write Content for Someone Else's Site?

If your own website is new or still building an audience, it likely doesn't yet rank well on Google or generate much organic traffic. Ranking well largely comes down to demonstrating trustworthiness and quality — which takes time to build organically on a brand-new site.

Guest posting on larger, more established websites in your niche gives you a shortcut: within your guest post, you can include links back to your own site — known as backlinks. The more high-quality, trustworthy sites that link back to yours, the more search engines like Google recognize your content as credible, which helps your own site rank higher for relevant keywords over time. You also pick up direct traffic from readers of the site you guest-posted on.

This entire process — backlinks, keyword ranking, and search visibility — falls under SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

How to Find Sites That Accept Guest Posts

A simple, effective search technique: search Google for your niche/topic plus "write for us".

Example: for a finance blog, try searching "finance write for us" or "share market write for us."

One thing worth checking: look for sites with a solid Domain Authority (DA) and a genuine, active audience — guest posting on a low-quality or low-traffic site won't move the needle much, since the value of a backlink is closely tied to how credible and well-established the linking site actually is.
